Oil is one of the national environmental protection decisions to implement the total amount of pollutant discharge control projects, of the eight water quality pollutants, oil is ranked after CODcr. The methods for determining oil substances have not been uniform for a long time and the various methods are not comparable.
The original methods used mainly include: gravimetric method, pycnometer method, turbidimetry (transform solvent) method, turbidibility (ultrasonic) method, gas chromatography, resistance method pyrolysis, ultraviolet spectrophotometry, fluorescence method, non-dispersible infrared method, three-wave digital infrared spectrophotometry.
For example, the gravimetric method, less than 10mg/L can not be detected, the detection process is long, light oil is volatile, not suitable for the determination of oil in water; ultraviolet and fluorescence methods can only determine the oil in the form of aromatic hydrocarbons, can not determine the oil present in the form of methyl and methylene; the non-dispersed infrared law is the opposite of the ultraviolet method and fluorescence method; the infrared spectrophotometry is accurate, comparable, and not limited by the structure of oil components.
Infrared spectrophotometer is a special instrument special instrument for the determination of oil content in domestic sewage, industrial wastewater and the determination of fume emissions in the catering industry that fully meets the requirements of national standards.
