The HAZ-DUST I is ideal as a portable survey tool for particulate monitoring with its simple operation and instantaneous easy to read display of measurements. The Haz-Dust I uses near-forward light scattering to measure dust concentration. As airborne particles enter the instrument they pass through an infra-red light beam and scatter the light. The amount of light that reaches the detector is directly proportional to the aerosol concentration.
