1.根據(jù)室內(nèi)要求的潔凈凈化標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，確定末級的空氣過濾器的效率，合理地選擇空氣空氣過濾器的組合級數(shù)和各級的效率。如室內(nèi)要求一般凈化，可以采用初效過濾器；如室內(nèi)要求中等凈化，就應(yīng)采用初效和中效兩級過濾器；如室內(nèi)要求超凈凈化，就應(yīng)采用初效、中效和三級凈化過濾，并應(yīng)合理妥善地匹配各級過濾器的效率，若相鄰兩級空氣過濾器的效率相差太大，則前一級過濾器就起不到對后一級過濾器的保護(hù)作用。
2.正確測定室外空氣的含塵量和塵粒特征。因?yàn)檫^濾器是將室外空氣過濾凈化后送入室內(nèi)，所以室外空氣的含塵量是一個(gè)很重要的數(shù)據(jù)。特別是在多級凈化過濾處理，選擇預(yù)空氣過濾器時(shí)要將使用環(huán)境、備件費(fèi)用、運(yùn)行能耗、維護(hù)與供貨等因素綜合考慮后決定。
3.正確確定過濾器特征。過濾器的特征主要是過濾效率、阻力、穿透率、容塵量、過濾風(fēng)速及處理風(fēng)量等。在條件容許的情況下，應(yīng)盡可能選用、低阻、容塵量大、過濾風(fēng)速適中、處理風(fēng)量大、制造安裝方便、價(jià)格低的空氣過濾器。這是在空氣空氣過濾器選擇時(shí)綜合考慮一次性投資和二次性投資及能效比的經(jīng)濟(jì)性分析需要。
4.分析含塵氣體的性質(zhì)。與選用空氣過濾器有關(guān)的含塵氣體的性質(zhì)主要是，溫度、濕度、含酸堿及有機(jī)溶劑的數(shù)量。因?yàn)橛械倪^濾器允許在高溫下使用，而有的過濾器只能在常溫、常濕度下工作，過濾器并且含塵氣體的含酸堿及有機(jī)溶劑數(shù)量對空氣過濾器的性能效率都有影響.
